Between 13th and 15th of April 2021, Romanian researchers, members of the INFLPR team at the AWISEM project, participated in the fourth international symposium, with the theme High Power Laser Ablation, entitled 2021 HPLA.
The workshop was scheduled to take place like the previous ones, in Santa Fe, New Mexico, USA, but, due to the resurgence of the Covid-19 pandemic at the approach of the cold season, the entire scientific event was held in the format of virtual conference.

On the first day of the scientific event 2021 International High Power Laser Ablation Symposium, Dr. Mihaela Filipescu from INFLPR, together with Dr. Tatiana Itina, CNRS, ensured the session chair of the Biological Applications of Lasers session.
Also, Dr. Mihaela Filipescu presented - online - the scientific paper Laser fabricated coatings for biomedicine and presented the poster of the scientific paper on the topic Fabrication of Biosensors for Heavy Metal Detection by Laser Transfer.
